I’m Christophe, a French translator based in Phuket, Thailand.

I’ve spent much of my adult life abroad — first in the United States and now in Thailand — and that experience has shaped the way I work with language: not simply as words to be translated, but as something that has to sound right to the people reading it.

I work between French and English on published books, websites, apps and editorial content. I also help clients review and improve existing French translations and localizations when something feels off but they’re not quite sure why.

I particularly enjoy longer projects where getting the voice right matters as much as getting the words right. That might mean preserving an author’s style over an entire novel, making a children’s book sound natural in French, or catching the small inconsistencies that can make a localized website feel translated rather than written for its audience.

I work independently, communicate directly with my clients, and remain personally involved from the first page to the last.
